Listener Question:
My husband and I have been married for a few years now and we have a toddler. I've found myself struggling with frustration and discontentment as a stay-at-home mom. Before we got married, I'm sure I pictured myself as this ideal Christian wife and mom, being involved at church together as a family, decorating my Pinterest-perfect home, etc.
In reality, my husband's present work schedule doesn't allow us to do ministry as a family, we are living in a small apartment that doesn't feel like home, and plans for the future are still up in the air. This isn't where I want our family to be, and I've started to take my frustration out on my husband. God has really been convicting me about my spirit, and I want to be a happier more content wife and mom. I'd like your practical advice on how to reconcile expectation vs. reality.
