Discovering the Power of Serving Your Spouse in Sickness and Health 🤢

Discovering the Power of Serving Your Spouse in Sickness and Health 🤢

Flu Sucks.

It hit our house hard this past 7 days. Our family room’s a wreck.

Blankets, kleenex, paper plates, thermometers, an assortment of DoTerra oils and Vicks Vaporub litter the terrain.

It’s about time for a deep clean.

Can I use the pressure washer up in here?

Probably not.

So far, Stuman is clear of all tropical diseases this go around. (Even after clearing said kleenex from the end tables and couch cushions.)

It’s something married people do. We proclaim before God and the congregation that we care for our Mr. or Mrs. “…in sickness and in health.”

…”Use your God Given Gifts to Serve Others” – 1 Peter 4:10….

My God Given gifts ➡️ going to the store and making grilled cheese sandwiches.

(Not so much: Cleaning up the family room or the kitchen)

“…Serve One Another humbly in Love.” – Galatians 5:13…

Picking up filled-to-the-brim kleenex full of thick-gooey-grossness and slathering on the ‘Vicks Vaporub’ = serving in my book!

These verses are good to remember when the flu hits (or when you don’t want to serve your spouse).

Serving your spouse isn’t always sexy, but we’re called to do it.

Thanks for reading along!
